Netflix's real estate reality series Selling Sunset is back for a second season, and we are so ready to see more gorgeous houses (and to watch even more juicy drama go down). After all, it's been over a year since the first season of the series premiered back in March 2019, so the ladies of Selling Sunset have no doubt experienced some major changes in their lives — or, at least, Heather Rae Young has.
In July 2019, Heather started dating fellow realtor Tarek El Moussa, who's best known for hosting HGTV's Flip or Flop alongside his former wife, Christina Anstead. Heather and Tarek's whirlwind relationship is cute, but if you're hoping to see Tarek make an appearance on season two of Selling Sunset, you're going to be disappointed.
Though they had just started dating around the time that filming began for season two of the series, Tarek was unable to appear on the show due to his contract with HGTV. As Heather explained to House Beautiful, Tarek won't appear on screen, but he'll still be a major topic of discussion throughout the season. "You see the beginnings of our relationship unfold on camera, and me talk about him and my relationship with the children, and how they welcomed me," she said. And because Selling Sunset is all about the drama, you'll also get to hear what the other ladies at The Oppenheim Group think of her romance. "You see a lot of like who judged me, who made comments about Tarek and me moving so fast," Heather added. "So you'll see some inside on that of what the girls think about my relationship."
Back in February, it was also revealed that Heather will appear on an episode of Tarek's latest show for HGTV, Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa.
"For the first time ever, @heatherraeyoung and I filmed my new show together!" Tarek announced in a Feb. 5 Instagram post. "We were both excited and nervous but we had a blast!! She was so cute on camera I couldn't stop smiling!" Heather expressed a similar sentiment to House Beautiful, saying, "I was able to film a whole episode with him on Flipping 101, which was really fun, because that was our first time being on camera together. And we had the best time on camera. We have great chemistry."
Their joint episode hasn't debuted yet, but we think it's only a matter of time before we see Heather and Tarek starring alongside each other on their own show.
