America's new first lady, Jill Biden, is sending the country messages of love ahead of Valentine's Day. On Feb. 12, giant conversation hearts popped up on the White House lawn decorated with words like "kindness," "healing," "compassion," and more. For Jill, this is a way to celebrate a special holiday with the country from afar.

"As you may know, the First Lady is known for her sense of humour, love of surprises, and celebrating traditions, especially with her family," her spokesperson Michael LaRosa said in a statement. "Valentine's Day has always been one of her favourite holidays. Sending messages of healing, unity, hope and compassion, this is her Valentine to the country."

A glimpse at the first lady's Instagram page shows she even painted one of the signs with her own signature, giving the project her seal of approval. Get a closer look at the White House hearts, and then catch up on the sweet White House gift Jill recently gave former First Lady Michelle Obama.
