Julianne Hough is coping with the loss of her dogs Lexi and Harley. On Saturday, the 31-year-old dancer [3] shared the tragic news, revealing that both of her beloved pups died on Sept. 28. "Pure love is real, it existed through us. My heart expanded and felt the truth of what is possible. I am forever grateful. Thank you for your love," she captioned a gallery of snaps and videos featuring the Cavalier King Charles spaniels.
The America's Got Talent [4] judge went on to thank Lexi and Harley — who died at ages 11 and 8, respectively — for all of their support throughout the years, adding, "Thank you for the timeless memories. Thank you for your magic. Thank you for being the most consistent and constant beings in my life. Thank you for being you."
Julianne's husband, Brooks Laich, also shared a touching eulogy on Instagram [5]. "Lexi and Harley were not just pets to us, they were our children, and we loved them as such," he wrote. "Thank you Lexi and Harley, for teaching me grace, softening my heart, and showing me love. You are perfect, and may you Rest In Peace." The couple hasn't stated the causes of death, but Brooks assured his followers that Lexi and Harley's spirits will live on. "Every single beautiful part of them will be missed," he said. "But we trust that they are in a better place now, and can still feel their presence in our hearts."
