Katy Perry Shares Adorable Birthday Photo with Orlando Bloom and Daughter, Daisy
Katy Perry celebrated her 38th birthday this week and took the opportunity to share a heartfelt family photo with her fans. The singer posted a snap on her Instagram showing her hand, adorned with a diamond bracelet and gold cuff, on top of fiancé Orlando Bloom's hand, which was also sporting a gold chain bracelet. To complete the adorable family photo, their 2-year-old daughter's hand drapes across the top of her parents.
Perry captioned the image with, "every time i blow a candle out i always wish for you. 38 and grateful ♥️🎂" The sentimental post proves just how thankful the "Roar" singer is to have her family as she hints at making a wish for them each year. Bloom, who proposed to Perry in 2019, also shared a loving post, showing a selfie of the couple, and writing "Each time we take a trip around the sun and get to celebrate you, I'm reminded that on this journey together and whatever the weather I'm always smiling 🎂❤️🎉"
The couple, who have been together since 2016, gave birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020 and Perry has been real about motherhood ever since. Speaking on The Jimmy Kimmel show last year, Perry opened up about giving birth during the pandemic and, while she stressed "It's the best decision I ever made in my entire life", she also went on to say later in the interview that the birth coincided with her fifth album release. "[I] could not wipe my own butt, and I was like, 'This is the most unusual album release day and I love it.'" She was also honest during an episode of "American Idol", revealing she quit shaving her legs as she just doesn't have time since becoming a mum.
Bloom is also a father to 9-year-old son Flynn, who he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The pair remain friends while both have expanded their families, with Perry and Kerr continually supporting each other's endeavours.
