Leslie Odom Jr. and Ariana DeBose's mini Hamilton [1] reunion at the Oscars just made my night. While doing interviews with nominees during the pre-show on Sunday night, Ariana shared a sweet moment with her former Broadway costar when she spoke with Leslie about his role in One Night in Miami [2]. As soon as he stepped on the red carpet, she brilliantly referenced lyrics from the musical, saying, "Look at where you are, look at where you started," which got a chuckle from Leslie. "That's a good one," he said about the Hamilton nod. "Sometimes I don't like them. That one I liked." While Leslie is well-known for originating the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton, Ariana played the role of the Bullet [3]. Like Ariana said, the two have certainly come along way since then. Not only is Leslie an Oscar-nominated actor [4], but Ariana is set to take on the iconic role of Anita in the West Side Story remake. See their cute exchange above.
