SZA's Quotes About Her Friendship With Lizzo

SZA Says She "Cried and Screamed" Listening to Lizzo's Unreleased Music: "So Inspiring"

If there's one celebrity friendship I'm immensely jealous of, it's the sisterhood between Lizzo and SZA. I mean, can you imagine all those good vibes in one room? While their recent Valentine's Day get-together on Instagram had fans wondering if the two were working on a music collab, the singers are actually just close friends who regularly hang out . . . though I do hope a duet is in their future. "I never feel like I have to be anybody else around her, ever," SZA recently told POPSUGAR of her relationship with the "Good as Hell" artist. "I can go over [to her place] and sit in my underwear and like, randomly talk about whatever . . . she makes me feel safe."

"She's just a f*cking amazing person and I hope that she takes over the actual universe because she deserves it."

She continued, "I love that we're completely different people, and we vibe and have fun in ways that are completely different." The two certainly have a good time together, whether it's hosting a virtual healing meditation session on Instagram, complete with singing bowls and a flute, or taking a trip to Jo-Ann and whipping up some adorable fuzzy lingerie sets for Valentine's Day (yep, they made those cute outfits!).

But while Lizzo may want to dance around and do karaoke at times, SZA says she'd rather cheer her on and ad-lib in the corner. "But I don't feel like less than or super small or guilty because I'm not being a little bit louder," the singer said. "She just makes me feel really good to be who I am." Aw, that's really all you can ask for in a friend.

And of course, the two share a love for music. SZA revealed the two often send their unreleased music to each other, which is "so inspiring." "I love Lizzo's unreleased music," the "Good Days" singer continued. "I literally cried and screamed listening to her songs. It makes me feel so good. She's just a f*cking amazing person and I hope that she takes over the actual universe because she deserves to." OK, can you say friendship goals? Here's to hoping some of that unreleased music includes a collaboration — we have a feeling their voices would sound pretty incredible together on one track.
