"Love Island"'s Indiyah Reveals the Cheeky Way the Girls Would Keep Conversations Secret

"Love Island" finalist Indiyah Polack spilled the tea on the latest episode of the "Saving Grace" podcast, revealing how the girls kept their conversations off air. Speaking to TikTok star Grace Keeling on an episode that dropped on 21 Sept, Polack gave behind-the-scenes insights, explaining that if there were ever discussions that the women islanders knew would be controversial or they wanted to be kept secret, they would chat topless because they knew those scenes would not be allowed on air.

"When we're naked, they can't air certain things," she said. "In the girls' room, we always had our tits out. Whenever someone wanted to say something cheeky, we'd just be sitting there talking with our tits out because we know they can't air it."

The revelation came just after she revealed that producers had slid into her DMs to ask her if she'd be on last year's series. "I was actually meant to go on last year as a bombshell," she explained. "Who would have thought? I can't actually imagine doing that." While last year didn't work out, Polack made it on the reality show as an original in the 2022 series. We are so glad she did, as is Lizzo, who fast became a Polack fan.

Although she hasn't watched any of the series back, Polack did open up about the awkward beauty issues the girls had in the villa. She mentioned they were allowed to get their fingernails gelled every few weeks, but not their toenails. Instead, her now-boyfriend Dami Hope helped her polish them. There was also no waxing available in the villa, so shaving was the only option. Before one particular challenge, Polack went a little too heavy with the razor. "I had to call the medic!" she revealed, as she had to get some cream to help with sore patches.

Since leaving the villa, Polack is still going strong with Hope. She recently returned from a trip to Ireland to meet his family, and the pair are now house hunting for an apartment to officially move in together, following in the footsteps of Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Sanclimenti. Joking that she's "in too deep," which is very "off brand" for her, the couple are certainly going from strength to strength in the outside world.

In recent weeks, Polack has been announced as the ambassador for PrettyLittleThing's Marketplace and an ambassador for Boots. She was loved for her authenticity on the reality show and reaffirmed that any projects she puts her name to are genuinely an honest fit. "I'm not doing anything that doesn't represent me," she said. And that's why Polack has a bright future ahead of her.
