Few couples stay together after the tumultuous experience [1] that is Love Island [2] — it's sad but it's true. Kaz Kamwi [3] and Tyler Cruickshank are unfortunately now one of those couples no longer together, after they sadly announced their breakup on Instagram on 13 Dec.

The pair posted a joint Instagram statement, which read: "We are extremely sad to announce that we have decided to end our romantic relationship. We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us. We will continue to be very much in one another's lives and support each other in every way. We are so grateful that we have shared this Love Island experience with each other, and we will continue to support each others careers. Life since the villa has been amazing, but it's taking time to adjust to a new normal in the public eye. This part of the journey hasn't been easy for us but we're learning. Thank you to every single person who has supported us, we appreciate you more than you will ever know."

While we imagine that there'll be some seriously disappointed Kyler fans on the internet today, our thoughts are with Kaz and Tyler and we hope that they're able to process their breakup without too much judgement from the outside world. It's been known that the pressure to stay together after being on a show like Love Island can be pretty intense, so we hope that fans of the show will be kind during this time.
