A year after celebrating International Women's Day at London's Robert Clack School, Meghan Markle is sharing some encouraging words for the students, this time in the form of a letter. On Thursday, the school posted a Twitter photo of the letter the duchess sent them in honour of the special day. "It was this time a year ago that I had the pleasure of meeting so many of you during my visit to celebrate International Women's Day and mark the 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act," Meghan began. "I look back on that day with such fond memories, and think of you all frequently, especially recognising how difficult it's been for student and families during the past year."

The Duchess of Sussex emphasised that she, along with her and Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation, encourage "everybody to participate in real acts of compassion for the women in their lives and their community." She also suggested that the students "take a moment to learn about the trailblazing women who came before us."

Meghan continued, "Last year, I told you that your voices have the ability to change the world. I hope that you are continuing to make your voices heard. Small acts of compassion have the power to make a real and lasting difference, and I thank all of you for the kindness you provided me during my visit." She ended her note by acknowledging how "incredibly challenging" the past year must have been for the students and expressing how "thrilled" she is that schools in the UK have finally reopened. "P.S. I still have the Debate Society team jacket you gave me with me here in California and wear it often," Meghan said. "Thank you again for thinking of me!" Read Meghan's letter in full ahead.
