Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke have revealed the gender of their unborn twins in a "really exciting" announcement. The couple, who knew each other for years before joining the cast of "Made In Chelsea", took to Instagram on 2 April to share the exciting news: they are having a boy and a girl!

After waiting for three-and-a-half years to have a baby via a surrogate, Gareth said to Hello! Magazine: "As we get towards the finish line, it's become very much more real. It felt like our lives were on hold but now it feels like we're moving forward. The babies coming along has reinvigorated everything."

The married couple previously announced their pregnancy on Instagram in February, posting a video of them on Instagram discovering the happy news, alongside the caption: "We are beyond delighted to finally be able to share the news that we are expecting twin baby Locke-Locke's into the world this summer!"

Ollie and Gareth, who got married in 2020 during the national lockdown with a Covid-secure ceremony at the National History Museum which was shown on the reality show, went on to thank their followers. "You have all been so wonderful throughout the last 3 years of us trying to have a family and we promise to share every step of this adventure with you all. For all those on their own journey to become parents we are with you and sending all the baby dust your way! Thank you to our sensational surrogate for being the most incredible human, the love we have for you and your family is just another level! Xx"

The couple have been open about their struggles to have a family, revealing on "Made In Chelsea" that their surrogate had suffered a miscarriage in 2021 during their first round of fertility treatment. Their journey to parenthood suffered more heartbreak last year when their next two rounds of IVF failed, before they finally got their wish — and a double dose of babies at that!

Friends were quick to comment on the heart-warming post to congratulate the couple. Their best friend and fellow MIC star Binky Felstead, who is also currently pregnant with her third child, wrote: "🎉🎉🎉🎉 ITS HAPPENING BABBBBBAYYYYY's !!!!!! 💕💕🤞🏼" MIC alum Rosie Fortescue added: "Words can't describe how happy I am for you both 🫶🏼♥️" and Emily Atack commented with a row of hearts.

Ollie and Gareth will be joining the 2023 celebrity parent brigade after Stacey Solomon gave birth to baby Belle, Molly-Mae Hague became a mum to Bambi, and Stacey Dooley welcomed Minnie to the world. We can't wait to see more of the Locke-Locke family.
