Apparently, Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio Are in a No-Strings "Situationship"

Less than a month after splitting from Jonas, Hadid appeared to move on with the former One Direction band member. After much speculation, Malik finally put rumours to rest by nonchalantly confirming his relationship with the model on Instagram in December 2015. During their time together, the duo were not shy about flaunting their love. They were even featured in their own PDA-filled Vogue spread and made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in May 2016.

After dating on and off again for over three years, the two parted ways in January 2019, but they rekindled their romance during the holidays later that year. During their reconciliation, the pair welcomed daughter Khai Hadid Malik in September 2020. However, their relationship eventually came to an end in October 2021 after Malik allegedly "struck" Hadid's mother, Yolanda. Both Hadid and Malik released statements addressing the reported incident.

"In an effort to protect that space for [Khai] I agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago," Malik wrote in his statement, referencing their daughter. In a second statement to TMZ, he added, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

A rep from Hadid's team released a statement to E! News about the allegations, saying, "Gigi is solely focussed on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time." Since then, Hadid and Malik have been focussed on coparenting their daughter.

The duo first sparked dating rumours in September 2022 after DiCaprio's split from Morrone. While Hadid and DiCaprio never publicly commented on the nature of their relationship, during their apparent romance, they were spotted out together on numerous occasions.

In November 2022, a source told Entertainment Tonight that "Leo finds Gigi to be gorgeous, super down to earth, and smart. They both genuinely enjoy each other's company and connect over a variety of things. Leo is enjoying getting to know Gigi better. They are both hoping to spend as much time as they can together."

However, on 17 Feb., 2023, People reported, per a source, that the two were no longer seeing each other. "She hasn't seen him for a while. She just decided that she was done with him," the insider said. "They are at very different places in life. She prioritises being a mom. It was never that serious anyway. It kind of just fizzled."

But just days later, DiCaprio and Hadid were both spotted leaving Casa Cipriani's Milan outpost on 24 Feb. separately, per photos obtained by Page Six. A source told the outlet that the two were part of a big group dinner celebrating Edward Enninful's birthday, which was also reportedly attended by Kendall Jenner and Dakota Johnson. Another source said that the actor and model sat at the private bar "close" to each other before the meal. "They were smiling inside [Casa Cipriani]," they said.

And on 15 June, Us Weekly reported that the pair are still exploring their connection, though it's very casual. "Leo and Gigi have a friendly, no-strings 'situationship' right now," a source told the outlet. "[They] travel so often so it's best for them to keep their relationship open and fluid. Neither one of them wants to settle down at the moment." Representatives for Hadid and DiCaprio did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR's request for comment on the report.
