Prince William Turns the Tables as He Leads a Discussion on the Future of the Planet

Prince William made an appearance in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, as he led a conversation with natural historian Sir David Attenborough as part of the World Economic Forum's annual meeting. "Normally, I have to endure people asking me questions, so it's quite nice to turn the tables for once," the prince joked, as he sat down to discuss Sir David's life's work and his next project, the Netflix original documentary series Our Planet.

Sir David is no stranger to the royal family. In fact, he and Queen Elizabeth II are said to be good friends, something we got a glimpse of when they joined forces for the 2018 documentary The Queen's Green Planet. Like the queen, Sir David is 92 years old, and she memorably joked to him about her advancing age during that show.

Though Sir David's iconic voice may be instantly familiar to those who watch nature documentaries, it's rare that we see Prince William chairing a discussion like this. As he noted, he's usually on the other side of the discussion, but this rare glimpse of him was perhaps a hint as to what's to come as he and Kate continue to take on more of an active role in royal life. Keep reading to watch the discussion in full and to see some photos from the event.
