It's back to school for the Cambridge kids! On 7 Sept. Prince William and Kate Middleton walked their three children to school for their first settling-in session, ahead of starting full time on 8 Sept. It marks Prince Louis's first day, as he joins his siblings, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, at Lambrook School in Berkshire. It will be the first time all three royals will be at school together.

Holding their mum and dad's hands, the family were greeted by headmaster Jonathan Perry as he asked if the children were excited, to which they all replied "yes". Prince William announced, "we brought the gang" as the family took the steps up the front door. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a tan polka dot Rixo dress for the school run, worn with matching tan heels and her signature blow-dry. The royal children were attending the school for a 90-minute introductory session, before beginning full-time education the following day.

It is a fresh start for the Cambridges who made the move from the capital, reportedly to give the children more freedom. "They are such an outdoorsy family, London just wasn't working for them anymore," a source close to the family told People about their move. "The countryside is definitely their happy place."

"Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas's Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values," Kate Middleton and Prince William said in a statement via a Kensington Palace release, according to People.

"We would like to thank George, Charlotte and all of our leaving pupils for upholding the school's values and for their many contributions to school life throughout their time at Thomas's. We wish them every happiness and success at their next schools and beyond," Ben Thomas, principal of Thomas's London Day Schools, told People.

Lambrook School has approximately 560 students and is set across 52 acres of countryside. It offers a range of extracurricular activities, including scuba diving, golf, podcast making, skiing, tap, jazz, bee keeping, and tennis. It also offers trips to various destinations around the world. Previous trips included Sweden, France, Italy, Iceland, Somerset, Dorset, South Africa, and the Isle of Wight.

Headmaster Jonathan Perry also released a statement, telling People, "We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community." While Lambrook offers boarding-school options, George, Charlotte, and Louis will only be attending during the day. According to the outlet, George will likely remain at Lambrook until he leaves for secondary school.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis's first day at their new school coincides with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's trip to the UK, although it is reported that the two families have not met up. Ahead, see all the adorable photos as the Cambridge's embark on the new school term.
