Marvel Stars Remember Chadwick Boseman: "He Wasn't Just a Hero on Screen"

Chadwick Boseman will not only forever be remembered as Black Panther, but he'll also be remembered as a hero of the ages. During the first-ever MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time special on Sunday, Chadwick's fellow Marvel costars Don Cheadle and Robert Downey Jr. paid tribute to the late actor's legacy. "The second you first saw him on screen or had the opportunity to meet him in person, his energy and intensity was undeniable," Robert said. "There was something different and special about Chadwick Boseman." Chadwick died in August after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

The pair also took a moment to remember the roles Chadwick brought to life and how his presence personally affected them. "Each time he stepped on the set, he inspired and influenced everyone there, and with every role he created a new legion of fans," Don said. "The way he lived his life united people behind a higher purpose, and that will be his legacy." They also recalled his contributions beyond acting. "He wasn't just a hero on screen. His list of inspirational acts and deeds is too long to recount here," Robert shared. "He was the most heroic when he was just being Chad. That's when he was bigger than anyone he played on screen."
