Ryan Reynolds Wishes Hugh Jackman a Happy Birthday With a Serenade Fit For a Frenemy
Hugh Jackman turned 51 on Oct. 12, and his frenemy Ryan Reynolds was there to wish him a happy birthday. Of course Ryan couldn't just send him a card or post a sappy Instagram tribute. Instead, he shared a hilarious video of him passionately singing "Happy Birthday." But before he belted the tune, Ryan addressed Hugh dissing him on stage during a Chicago concert on Oct. 11. (After a performance, Hugh jokingly called out his friend, saying, "Let's see Ryan Reynolds do that.") Needless to say, Ryan was less than pleased with the wisecrack. "I saw what you said. In a word? Hurtful," he says in the birthday clip before showing off his pipes. After singing, Ryan takes one last swipe at the birthday boy, adding, "And I'm not even f*cking professionally trained, Jackman, you piece of sh*t."
