Stacey Solomon Reveals Her Daughter's Disney-Inspired Name, and It's Perfect
TV star Stacey Solomon has revealed the gorgeous Disney-inspired name of her new baby girl. On 13 Feb. the TV star posted photos of her new addition to Instagram, revealing that she is named Belle. She captioned the beautiful photos, "🥀 Belle 🥀 Our little Belle. Our beautiful, delicate baby girl. Who will forever remind us of the bluebells that are about to bloom as you bring the spring with you into the world… 🥲 And a little special connection to your Rose 🥹 To the moon and back Belle. Forever and always 🥲". The connection she mentions, in addition to the flowers, is also thought to be the Disney film "Beauty and the Beast", whose central character has until the final rose petal falls to fall in love with the beast and break the curse.
Solomon announced that she had given birth on Saturday, 11 Feb. with more photos of Belle as well as sweet snaps of her with husband, Joe Swash. She captioned the photo,"She's Here. Our beautiful, daughter born at home with all of your brothers and sister ready to snuggle you forever and ever. You literally flew into our world… And none of us can quite believe your thick dark head of hair that we just can't get over. We can't believe your here Welcome to the world beautiful girl, thank you for the last few months in my tummy, we can't wait to love you forever and ever we are so grateful we get to be your family."
Solomon's post was followed with congratulations from friends, family, and fellow celebrities. Jessie J, who was attending the Brits on the same day wearing a bump-baring outfit, wrote "The joy I feel for all of you is overwhelming", while her fellow "Loose Women" stars added their excitement. Solomon and Swash follow fellow celebrity couples, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who welcomed baby Minnie to the world in early Jan. and Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury who added baby Bambi to their family on 23 Jan.
Solomon revealed the happy news she was expecting on 28 Dec. by posting a sweet video on Instagram showing her pregnancy test and videoing Swash as he joined her in the bathroom. "This is the best news ever," he can be heard saying. Two days later, on 30 Dec., the "Loose Women" star announced that she actually discovered she was expecting a baby a little later into pregnancy than usual. "Coming soon… Much sooner than we thought. When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves, but that didn't leave us with very long left," she wrote on Instagram.
Solomon hinted that she was due at the end of January, so fans were quick to point out that she would have been pregnant at her July wedding to Swash, with some writing they suspected as much. "For those saying you knew when we got married, well you could have let us know Poirot," she joked in the comments section.
The cute couple are already parents to Rose, who was born in October 2021, and Rex, who is three. Solomon is also mum to Leighton, 10, with ex-partner Aaron Barham, and Zachary, 14, with ex Dean Cox. Swash also shares son Harry, 15, with his ex-fiancée, Emma Sophocleous. Solomon has always been open about her blended family, recently speaking on the "Parenting Hell" podcast about the "rocky road" of combining families. "We have always had to work really hard to make sure everyone feels secure," she said.
