Tom Bateman and Daisy Ridley are notoriously private when it comes to their relationship. The stars, who began dating shortly after meeting on the set of their 2017 film "Murder on the Orient Express," only recently confirmed they're married after years of engagement rumours. "Yes! I got married," Ridley told Rolling Stone [1] in January. At the London premiere of "Murder on the Orient Express," one of the film's producers, Judy Hofflund, hinted that Bateman and Ridley struck a romance while filming the movie. When asked if any of the cast members got especially close on set, Hofflund reportedly told People (via Just Jared [5]), "Something kinda happened with Tom and Daisy... but that's public news, right? I should keep my mouth shut."
That same night, Bateman was questioned about his dating life, but the actor refused to give any details. "I'm absolutely not going anywhere near that! But nice try," he said, before claiming Hofflund's comment was the producers's way of "creating a buzz" around the film. "They've got to otherwise no one will come and see the movie!"

Just weeks after the dating rumours surfaced, Bateman and Ridley seemingly confirmed their romance when they were spotted hanging out together in London that December. The "Chaos Walking" actor was in the city for the premiere of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail [6], the couple celebrated the film's premiere at a hotel bar.
February 2019: Tom Bateman and Daisy Ridley Reportedly Move In Together
In February 2019, Bateman and Ridley's relationship appeared to be getting more serious when the Daily Mail [7] reported the couple had moved in together. Apparently, the stars had begun renting an apartment in London's Primrose Hill.
June 2019: Daisy Ridley Is Spotted Wearing a Diamond Ring
While in New York City for an appearance on "Good Morning America" that June, Ridley was seen wearing a diamond ring on that finger. Of course, fans speculated that she and Bateman had taken their relationship to the next level by getting engaged.
November 2019: Daisy Ridley Addresses the Engagement Rumours
That November, Marie Claire [8] asked Ridley about the engagement rumours, however, the "Ophelia [9]" star neither confirmed nor denied that she and Bateman were headed down the aisle. "It's a really nice ring that I wear," she said about the highly-speculated piece of jewellery. "Oh my God. It's the first time I've publicly been asked this one."
Ridley then told the publication she wasn't going to elaborate on something so personal. "The thing is, I've never talked about my personal life. So I won't talk about it now. I'm so aware of how much information about my life is out there, so if there's one thing I don't want to talk about...," she said before changing the subject.

January 2023: Daisy Ridley Confirms She's Married to Tom Bateman
After dodging engagement rumours for years, Ridley finally confirmed that she and Bateman had tied the knot while speaking to Rolling Stone [11] in January 2023. "Yes! I got married," she said when asked about her ring, however, she didn't share any more details.
Since then, the couple has been enjoying married life by vacationing in Ireland [12] in April and making another public appearance at a Filmmaker's Dinner in May.
