If Irina Shayk looks familiar, it's probably because you remember one of her many magazine cover shoots, or her iconic 2016 Victoria Secret Fashion Show debut where she strutted down the catwalk while pregnant [1]. The model's name could also ring a bell because she was recently rumoured to be Kanye West's new love interest [2].
Photos emerged of Shayk and West in France [3], where the Life of Pablo rapper celebrated his 44th birthday. While neither one has confirmed nor denied the relationship rumours, a source tells US Weekly, "They've been quietly seeing each other for a couple months [4]." It's been two years since Shayk's serious relationship with her ex, Bradley Cooper [5], and West is recently single [6], so they could quite possibly be a couple. Rob Bourdon
While some outlets have reported on Shayk's alleged relationship to Lincoln Park drummer Rob Bourdon [7], neither one has confirmed that they did indeed date. According to The Mirror, the two were reportedly together [8] in a romantic sense from 2007 to 2009.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Shayk's first major public relationship was with Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo. According to US Weekly, the pair met while on set of an Armani ad [9] in 2010. Immediately, they became an "it" couple in Hollywood, making red carpet appearances, embracing in PDA, and were even photographed together for Vogue España's June issue in 2014 [10].
Fans began speculating the two had split after Ronaldo didn't accompany Shayk to the premiere of Hercules in 2014, and Shayk was absent at the annual FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2015. On January 2015, US Weekly confirmed the two had called things off for good. Though neither person explicitly gave an explanation for their split, that same year Shayk told Spanish magazine Hola! that her number one relationship rule is faithfulness and honesty, leading many to believe there may have been infidelity [11] in their relationship.
Bradley Cooper
Shayk was first linked to Bradley Cooper [12] — who had just gotten out of a long term relationship with English actress and model Suki Waterhouse — in spring of 2015. However, the dating rumours weren't confirmed until spring of 2016 when the duo stepped out together as a couple [13] at the L'Oréal Red Obsession party during Paris Fashion Week. Later that year, they shared they were expecting [14]! Soon after making her Victoria Secret Fashion show debut, it was announced that Shayk was already well into her second trimester. Their daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper [15] arrived in March 2017.
In an interview with Glamour Magazine Shayk explained that she prefers to keep her personal life private. [16] This led many to wonder if her and Cooper were engaged after she was spotted wearing a sparkling emerald and diamond ring on her finger.
Sadly, after four blissful years, Shayk and Cooper made the decision to go their separate ways in June 2019. The model opened up about their split [17] to British Vogue in January 2020, sharing, "I think we've been very lucky to experience what we had with each other. Life without B is new ground."
