The highly anticipated Saved by the Bell reboot is coming to Peacock on Nov. 25 [1], and I couldn't be more excited. It starts off after California Governor Zack Morris closes several schools and sends those students to Bayside High. Admittedly, the fact that the cast of the Saved by the Bell reboot [2] are, well, quite attractive has me sitting on the edge of my couch. One of the stars of the new class is Belmont Cameli, an up-and-coming actor/model (of course) whose first role was "Cute Guy" on a 2018 episode of Empire. Before the show kicks off, get to know Belmont!
He Played Football When He Was Younger
In this heartfelt Instagram post dedicated to his late father, Belmont included an older picture of himself in a football uniform. Coincidentally, Belmont is playing the captain of the football team on Saved by the Bell [3].
He Donated a Kidney
On Instagram, Belmont talked about how thousands of people struggle with only one failing kidney and how he's grateful he could donate [4] one of his. "Soon my pain will disappear and my scars will fade away, but the love in my heart from this experience will forever remain," he wrote.
He Had a Nickname For His First Car
In 2019, Belmont had to part ways with his beloved old car [5]. "Tomorrow the Green Machine departs from the Cameli drive one final time, 19 years since it first rambled in," he wrote in an Instagram caption. He then joked about how his new car is an ugly colour, saying, "I deserve it."
He's Thoughtful and Poetic
In several of his Instagram posts, he shared some of his thoughts and musings [6]. "If your aim is a melody a tambourine will seldom suffice… If you share a smile with someone you often get to keep one for yourself. Sometimes the kerplunk of a rock can be far more satisfactory than the skip of a stone; it only takes one go," he wrote. Don't mind me, I'll just be thinking about these points for the rest of the day.

Belmont has modelled for Abercrombie & Fitch [7], and it appears he also works with Select Model Miami. (And I'll let you in on a secret: the "tagged" section of his Instagram [8] is a goldmine for more beautiful modelling photos.)

"Get a load of this nut!" [9] he joked on Instagram. I don't know about you, but I'm all for a good, wholehearted pun, especially with a funnily shaped car.

Belmont has acted in [10] The Husband, a thriller; Most Guys Are Losers, a comedy and drama; and now Saved by the Bell [11], a comedy. Other than playing "Cute Guy" in an episode of Empire, Saved by the Bell is his first TV show gig. He's well-rounded and versatile!
He Plays the Son of a Returning Actress on Saved by the Bell
Belmont plays Jamie Spano, the son of Jessie Spano, who's played by original Saved by the Bell [12] star Elizabeth Berkley.
