As much as we were shipping Demi Lovato and The Bachelorette's Mike Johnson, we might be even more into Demi and her new man, Austin Wilson. On Nov. 12, the 27-year-old songstress decided to make her new relationship Insta-official, posting a black-and-white shot of her and Austin with a heart emoji, leaving no doubt about how she feels. Austin posted a similar mirror selfie on the same day, which he captioned, "My Love." So who exactly is this guy who's stolen Demi's heart? The tatted-up 25-year-old isn't just Demi's latest flame — he's also a model with a pretty impressive portfolio.
Austin often shares pics from his latest modelling gigs on Instagram, such as his campaign for Baxter, a men's skincare company. The LA native poses for hometown brand For Those Who Sin, contemporary streetwear brand MSTKN, and the clothing brand Civil Regime. You might also recognise Austin's dad, but for a different reason. Formerly a pro skateboarder and one of the original Venice Beach Z-Boys behind the West Coast skateboarding movement in the '70s, George Wilson is now a designer known for his superflattering jeans.
It's unclear how Austin and Demi first met, but we do know they shared and lost a mutual friend. After their friend Thomas Trussell lost his battle with drug addiction in October 2019, both Austin and Demi took to Instagram to mourn. Demi got a "T" tattoo in honour of her late pal, and Austin shared a heartfelt post in honour of Thomas.
