In The Kissing Booth 2 [1], Maisie Richardson-Sellers's character, Chloe, shakes things up between Noah (Jacob Elordi [2]) and Elle (Joey King [3]), even if she doesn't mean to. In real life, though, Maisie is all about women's empowerment and building up her friends [4]. Before you fall in love with Maisie in The Kissing Booth [5] 2, you might just want to see what makes her so believable as the effortlessly cool Chloe. Ahead are five facts that may just surprise you about the star.

Her English Accent Is Real

Much like her character Chloe in The Kissing Booth [7] 2, the 28-year-old actress is English. She was born into a family of actors in London on Mar. 2, 1992.

She Didn't Go to School For Theatre

While she grew up with a love for theatre due to her parents, she actually went to Oxford University and got a degree in archaeology and anthropology [8]. That being said, she did act while in school, with For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf being the first show she directed and performed in.

She's Currently Taken

Maisie has been in a relationship with singer CLAY since December 2016 [9]. They've made frequent appearances on each other's Instagrams, with Maisie calling CLAY, "My 🌻 [10]."

She Helped Found Shethority

In 2018, Maisie helped found Shethority [11], along with fellow Arrowverse actresses Caity Lotz and Candice Patton. Shethority is an online collective that is focussed on building a community that challenges themselves, empowers others, and works to reclaim the female experience. "Shethority is a place of diversity [12] in terms of sexuality as well as ethnicity; diversity all around," Maisie explained in a previous interview.

You've Probably Seen Her in Legends of Tomorrow

Maisie joined Legend of Tomorrow in 2016 as Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, a member of the Justice Society of America during the 1940s. Eventually, her character returned to her original time with Maisie taking on the role of fugitive shapeshifter Charlie in 2018. Her mother, Joy Richardson, also appeared in the show as Amaya Jiwe's ancestor. She exited the show in 2020 in order to pursue other projects [13].
