Who Is Max Ehrich? Demi Lovato's New Beau Also Has a Disney Channel Past

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich could easily win the award for Best Celeb Couple of 2020, and yes, it's only April. Sure, they have yet to publicly confirm their relationship — they were first rumoured to be dating last month — but their social media back-and-forth has already cemented them as a solid ship. All aboard!

Perhaps their most adorable moment so far came when Max, 28, was singing and playing the piano on Instagram live — and Demi, 27, came in carrying a blanket, unaware that he was broadcasting to fans.

"I'm on live! I'm on live!" he frantically whispered to the star. They both cracked up and Demi quickly covered her face with the sheet.

Plus, Sam Smith — who recently collaborated with Demi on their new track, "I'm Ready" — revealed that Demi and Max "seem so sweet," they told Andy Cohen. "She seems happy at the moment which is the most important thing."

Max is primarily known for his role as Fenmore Baldwin on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. He portrayed the teen character — who dealt with romance, angst, and cyberbullying — for four years.

Max won much critical acclaim for his time as Fenmore, even scoring four Daytime Emmy nominations for outstanding younger actor in a drama series.

Dude's a triple threat: Max was featured as a principal dancer in HSM 3. In addition to the film, he also made a series of appearances on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up, which starred Zendaya and Bella Thorne.

As if Max couldn't get any more swoon-worthy, he's also a musician who frequently shares his talent on Instagram. His latest single, "Ride," features in the Netflix movie Walk. Ride. Rodeo. (in which he also stars). He even dedicated his cover of Coldplay's "Yellow" to Demi, captioning the video, "4D," with a rose emoji. She replied with three pink hearts.

Years before Max got together with Demi, he was in a relationship with K.C. Undercover actress Veronica Dunne. (She played K.C.'s best friend Marisa on the series.) The two called it quits in 2017 after three years together,. After their breakup, he was romantically linked to model Sommer Ray.

In addition to his Disney Channel days, Max also made time for a Nickelodeon show as well. He starred in the two-part iCarly ep, "iStart a Fanwar," playing Carly's love interest, Adam.

As he explained to Vents magazine, an ex called him, he thought, "to rekindle a flame" — but it turned out she "wanted to see if she still had a hold on me."

"She didn't want the relationship back," he revealed. "She just didn't want me wanting somebody else." The moment later inspired his song, "Somebody Else."

Max sometimes uses Insta as an outlet to share poems. They're often drunk-in-love sweet, with words and phrases that will make you melt. Take, for example, this gem: "it's as if every / atom in my body / gravitates towards you." (Demi liked this, btw.) All the heart-eye emojis, please.

In an interview with Soaps.com, Max revealed he went to New York's Professional Performing Arts School. Other famous alum include Britney Spears, Jesse Eisenberg, Josh Peck, Claire Danes, and more.
