Missing Music Festivals? Here's What's Taking Place in 2022

28/03/2022 - 04:25 PM

Music lovers [1] around the world have had to miss out on live music experiences for nearly two full years as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic, but things are finally starting to change. Thanks to the growing availability of vaccines, the easing of restrictions, and safety procedures enforced by venues, a number of live music events, world tours [2], and festivals were able to take place in 2021. This year, it seems that even more of these events and gatherings will be going ahead — some of which will be happening for the first time in a couple of years.

Notting Hill Carnival, a mainstay for the residents of West London and beyond, is scheduled to take place in 2022 after being cancelled for the last two years. Alongside the carnival, Manchester's annual Parklife festival has been confirmed (with Tyler, The Creator set to be the headliner, might we add) along with End of the Road festival and Glastonbury [3]. Newly confirmed are festivals like Wireless and Reading and Leeds — one of which took place in some capacity last year — so it's more than likely that we'll be seeing plenty more line-up announcements in the coming weeks.

Ahead, we've rounded up everything you'll need to know about the highly-anticipated music festivals taking place in 2022 in the UK and Europe. From event dates and locations to artist lineups and timings, we have all the info you've been waiting for. Keep reading to discover the hottest music events happening this year.
