Elle Fanning Reunites With "Mom" Angelina Jolie on the Set of the Maleficent Sequel
It's been four years since Angelina Jolie introduced audiences to her masterful portrayal of Maleficent, and the actress has now slipped back into her horns, fangs, and red lipstick for the sequel. On May 29, Elle Fanning shared a candid selfie with Jolie from the set of Maleficent 2, and — apart from bathrobes and some modern sunglasses — they're both in full costume. In her caption, Fanning joked that it was "bring your mom to work day."
In case your memory of the original is a little foggy, Fanning portrays the angelic Aurora to Jolie's dynamic Maleficent, whose story in the 2014 film is a little more complicated than Disney's Sleeping Beauty let on. The first instalment ends with Aurora and Maleficent ruling over their respective kingdoms. Though not much is known about the upcoming sequel, Michelle Pfeiffer has already signed on to play herself . . . a queen.
