Is Ariana Grande Making a Cameo on Jim Carrey's Kidding?

Ariana Grande Gets Emotional About Working With Idol Jim Carrey: "This Was a Dream"

Ariana Grande is returning to television, and this time she'll be appearing alongside one of her heroes. The "7 Rings" singer announced via a sweet Instagram post on Wednesday that she'll be making a cameo on an upcoming episode of Jim Carrey's Showtime series, Kidding. "There aren't words. I've been staring at my screen and no words do this moment justice," she captioned a photo of her and Carrey hugging. "Thankful for the most special experience of my life. Nothing is crazier than getting to work with and spend time with someone whom you've idolised and adored since before you could speak. Actually, what's even crazier is discovering that person to be more special and warm and generous in person than you ever could've imagined."

The 26-year-old singer has been open about her admiration for Carrey. After meeting him for the first time back in 2014, she admitted on Twitter that he was her childhood crush. He even inspired her first AIM screen name, which was JimCarreyFan42. She was also seen getting super emotional in a video that she shared of their interaction on Instagram.

It's been a while since Grande has graced us with a TV appearance. She rose to fame in 2010 as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious before starring in the show's spinoff, Sam and Cat, until 2014. Then, in 2015, she nabbed a role as Chanel #2 in Scream Queens, though she was killed off after the first few episodes. It's not clear yet what Grande's role will be on Kidding, but given her past acting experience, we don't doubt that it'll be worth tuning in for.
