Ariana Grande "Thank U, Next" Music Video Easter Eggs

26 Subtle Details You Might Not Have Noticed in Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" Video

Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" music video already has fans losing it, and it's not hard to see why. In addition to nostalgic callbacks to early 2000s classics like Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, and Bring It On, Grande crammed a TON of detail into every frame of the five-minute video. Just in case you haven't watched it, oh, 700 times or so already like we have, keep reading to see every itty-bitty thing you might have missed.

1. Jonathan Bennett's Cameo

The Mean Girls actor, who originally starred as hottie Aaron Samuels, appears in the opening montage.

2. The Mean Girls-Themed Cookbook

In real life, Bennett actually wrote a Mean Girls-themed cookbook, The Burn Cookbook: A Parody, which he can be seen carrying through the halls of the school.

3. Stefanie Drummond's Cameo

Stefanie Drummond plays Bethany Byrd in Mean Girls, but you might know her better as the classmate who confesses she has a heavy flow and a wide-set vagina.

4. Troye Sivan's Cameo

The Australian pop star, who's collaborated with Grande in the past, pops up in the hall to say he's heard she's dating a woman named Aubrey (a nod to fans confusing her "Thank U, Next" lyrics after the song came out).

5. Kris Jenner's Cameo

The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch is the perfect fit to play Regina George's mom, no?

The "you're doing amazing sweetie" meme come to life!

The phrase can be seen on a necklace and YouTuber Gabi DeMartino's shirt in the video, which is likely a way of Grande paying homage to the nickname many of her fans call her on Twitter.

Although it's not filled with burns, Grande styles this music video prop identically to the one in Mean Girls.

Grande's ex-fiancé Pete Davidson's page in the book reads "Pete" in a heart, "I love u always," and "HUUUUUUUGE" (Grande has been open about how, uh, well-endowed he is). She also scribbles "sry I dipped" at the top, which is likely because of how the end of their engagement went down.

Grande describes her backup-dancer ex as a "great dancer" whom she had "good times" with and notes they'll be "friends forever."

Grande dated "cute" and "sweet" rapper Big Sean in 2015, and apparently he can "still get it."

During this scene of the Mean Girls-inspired segment of the video, Grande wears a graphic tee that reads "A Little Bit Needy," styled just like Regina George's "A Little Bit Dramatic" shirt in the film.

"Needy" is also the name of a new song she teased back in October, FYI!

Grande starred in Victorious with Gillies, who plays Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls character in the video.

Instead of reading "RCH" on the front of the cheerleading uniforms like in Bring It On, Grande switches out the letters to be the initials of her song, "TUN," instead.

Gabrielle Union doesn't appear in the video, but Nekai Johnson, Patience Aquart, Tayla Parx, and Luz Remigio were happy to take over the role.

Ariana's former Victorious costar pops up as one of the Toros cheerleaders!

The YouTube star and comedian known for her Miranda Sings character shows off her real-life baby bump in the cheerleading scene.

Grande's Victorious costar plays Bring It On's Cliff in the video.

In her Bring It On bedroom, you can see two posters on the wall that look to be Grande in a dramatic black-and-white shot and her older brother Frankie as a figure skater.

The singer plays one of Grande's bridesmaids in this blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.

Grande pays homage to 13 Going on 30's most emotional scene, crying over a magical dollhouse.

It happens to have the Bring It On bedroom inside!

As well as the Mean Girls and Legally Blonde rooms, too!

"7 Rings" is rumoured to be Grande's next big single, which she sneakily hints at with the license plate on her Elle Woods-style convertible.

As a stand-in for Elle Woods's Chihuahua, Bruiser, is Grande's real-life dog, Toulouse.

Grande can be seen reading a textbook called Immigration and Refugee Law and Policy, which seems to be a not-so-subtle way of calling out the current, horrific political climate.

Yep, that's Jennifer Coolidge! As you'll recall, the hilarious actress plays Paulette in Legally Blonde.

He has BDE, clearly.
