Ariana Grande Pays Tribute to Aretha Franklin With a Performance That Will Have You in Tears

The world shined a little less bright when Aretha Franklin passed away on Thursday, and celebrities everywhere are mourning her death. One of them is Ariana Grande, who not only paid tribute to the Queen of Soul on Twitter, but honoured Aretha with an emotional performance of her hit "Natural Woman" with The Roots on The Tonight Show. According to TMZ, Ariana was only scheduled to do a comedy skit, but was asked to perform in the wake of Aretha's death. Ariana reportedly declined at first because she was too emotional, but Questlove eventually convinced her to do it. After powering through the song, Ariana apparently broke down in tears backstage.
