Welp, it looks like The Bachelor isn't Cassie Randolph's first foray into the world of reality TV. Before joining the cast of the ABC dating show and wooing Colton Underwood, the California beach babe starred (and technically still stars) in an online docuseries titled Young Once, which is airing its second season throughout February and March in tandem with weekly episodes of The Bachelor. Is your mind blown? Yep, ours is, too.

Set in southern California, Young Once follows a group of young Christians, including Cassie and her now-ex-boyfriend, Caelan Tiongson, as they face love, friendships, and career decisions while navigating the way faith plays a role in their daily lives. The first season, which was released back in 2016, follows the group as they attend Biola University, a private Christian school that encourages its students to follow its no-drinking, no-drugs, and no-sex policies. Most of the eight episodes touch on Cassie and her former beau's on-again-off-again relationship, and Caelan ultimately passes up an opportunity to play basketball overseas to continue his relationship with Cassie.

Young Once's first season was filmed far before Colton was even on Cassie's radar — about four years ago, according to Reality Steve spoilers. Season two, on the other hand, filmed during the Summer of 2018, just shortly before ABC filmed season 23 of The Bachelor. What's more is that the docuseries' second season somewhat ironically aired its premiere episode on Feb. 4, aka the exact day Cassie and Colton's steamy one-on-one date in Thailand aired on ABC.

So, what does this all mean now? Well, for one, it definitely adds a bit more context to Cassie's comments from the nighttime portion of her aforementioned one-on-one date. As a refresher, Cassie admitted to Colton that she's scared of being judged by her family and community for no longer being a virgin, which makes much more sense considering her college environment. Meanwhile, it's possible that we'll see future conversations between Colton and Cassie regarding her long-time relationship with her ex.

Want to see a young Cassie in action on Younger Once? You're in luck, because the docuseries recently uploaded the whole first season to YouTube — watch 'em all below, and head over to youngonce.ca to tune into the second season on Mondays.
