I have been a Backstreet Boys fan for as long as I can remember, so when I heard about the boys' Las Vegas residency, I knew I had to go. While I had seen them make guest appearances at a couple of other shows before, I had never officially experienced an actual Backstreet Boys concert with only them, and let me just tell you, it was magical. From the signature dance moves to the nostalgic hits to the matching outfits, it was everything I'd ever hoped for and more.

If you just happen to be in Vegas or you're thinking about checking them out, honestly, do it. I can promise you that you'll have the time of your life no matter how old you are, because let's face it — they truly are larger than life. To give you an idea of what you're getting into, here's a breakdown of the emotional roller coaster you can expect at a Backstreet Boys concert.

1. Stepping Into the Venue With a Bunch of Grown Women Decked Out in Their Best BSB Merchandise

Walking into Planet Hollywood's The Axis was like walking into a club. Grown women everywhere, sporting their best Backstreet Boys t-shirts and sipping cocktails out of blue Backstreet Boys tumblers.

2. Finding My Seat and Assessing the Crowd

Once I made it to my seat, I looked around and noticed there were tons of anxious fans just like me, waiting for their lives to be made.

3. Freaking Out as the Lights Went Down and I Realized What Time It Was

OMG, it was time! The boys were coming out!

4. Feeling the Nostalgia Take Over Me as Old BSB Videos Played on the Screen

All of a sudden, the arena went dark, and old Backstreet Boys music videos started playing on the screen. It immediately took me back to the time I forced my uncle to drive me to Walmart to buy the Backstreet Boys documentary (I was like 8 or 9 years old, give me a break).

5. Screaming as Loud as I Possibly Could When the Boys Magically Appeared on Stage

There they were, wild and free, floating inside boxes above the stage like they were heaven sent. I could feel my heart racing at about one million miles an hour. I truly couldn't believe I was there.

6. Getting Down and Moving It All Around

The alcohol began to hit — What? Those tumblers were huge! — and I felt like I was a little girl again as I sang along to their greatest hits and danced the night away. Thankfully, the seat next to me was empty.

7. Somehow Managing to Sing My Heart Out and Sob at the Same Time

After "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)," "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely," and "I'll Never Break Your Heart," the boys had me all up in my feelings. Yes, I loved every second of it.

Then they switched it up again and I was back to dancing my ass off and singing at the top of my lungs.

9. Hearing People Scream and Realizing SOMEBODY Was in the Audience

The boys went backstage to change for the next part of their set, and then suddenly, I heard a bunch of people yelling just a few rows in front of me.

10. Spotting A.J. in the Aisle and Immediately Running Over

It was A.J.! In the flesh! Without thinking twice, I bolted toward the aisle, squeezing past the people in my row, determined to make it to A.J. as fast as possible.

And then there he was. He stood right in front of me, reaching out like he needed me (and only me!), and I melted.

After two hours or so, the boys started saying their thank yous and goodbyes, and I started freaking out. Then I remembered that this wasn't my first rodeo, and there was no way the show was over yet.

As I sang and danced through the entire last song, I kept hoping they had more surprises in store and that this really wasn't the end. Sadly, it was.

Once the show was over, I knew I had to see them again. I texted my cousin, who also loves the Backstreet Boys, and we're currently planning another Vegas trip. Luckily, they recently extended their residency, so we have plenty of time to see them in action!
