We Finally Have a 90210 Revival Premiere Date, and the Meta Concept Is SO Fun

Get ready for a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion this Summer, because the revival we've all been waiting for premieres on Aug. 7. Fox released a cute teaser on May 7 entitled "The Gang Returns Home" that got us even more excited to see the original cast in a whole new light. As we've already learned, the "reboot" isn't a reboot at all, but it's actually a more creative take on a revival. Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, Jennie Garth, and the rest of the confirmed cast won't reprise their former roles, but rather play themselves in a mockumentary-style dramedy running for six episodes.

The premise is that the actors reunite for a reboot show, but drama ensues in the series that's "inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other," according to Fox. Pretty funny and meta if you ask us. The new preview shows the cast smiling, hugging, and sitting around a table with scripts that read "Pilot," and we can't wait to see what those pages have in store. Watch the 30-second clip above!
