Beyoncé's "Spirit" Music Video

Beyoncé's Uplifting Music Video With Blue Ivy Will Fill Your "Spirit" With Light and Love

If you thought listening to Beyoncé's latest single "Spirit" was a blessing, just wait until you watch her music video, featuring Blue Ivy Carter. Originally released by Disney on July 9, the song serves as both a feature on the official soundtrack for the live-action Lion King remake, as well as the title track for the 37-year-old musician's Lion King-inspired album, The Gift.

While the song itself is a beautiful gospel-pop ballad all about being ready to embrace your destiny, the music video takes things to another level. It opens up with two men singing in Swahili (a nod to The Lion King's African roots) and features Beyoncé against the picturesque background of the Havasu Falls in the Havasupai Reservation. Blue, 7, also makes a special appearance by her mom's side in an especially powerful moment.

Interwoven between scenes from The Lion King, Beyoncé belts out the inspirational lyrics to the song, singing, "Spirit, can you hear it calling?/ Yeah/ Your destiny is coming close, stand up and fight/ So go into that far-off land/ And be one with the great I am, I am." If the lyrics don't have you feeling a shift in your spirit, the power of the backing choir (also featured in the video) definitely will!

Watch the gorgeous music video above and watch out for the full Beyoncé's-curated compilation album, The Lion King: The Gift, out on July 19.
