In Honour of Black History Month, Black Panther Is Returning to Theatres For 1 Week Only
It's only Monday, and already Black Panther is having quite the week. After it took home a big win at the SAG Awards on Sunday, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that Marvel's groundbreaking superhero film will return to theatres in February in honour of Black History Month.
The critically acclaimed, Oscar-nominated movie — which is the first Marvel film to be nominated for best picture, FYI — will be back in theatres from Feb. 1-7. Although Disney can't promise that stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, and Lupita Nyong'o will be able to view the film with you, it can ensure that you don't have to shell out for any insane ticket prices. That's right — tickets will be free! So now you officially have no excuse for why you haven't seen it yet. (Just kidding — is there anyone on planet Earth who hasn't watched it?!)
In Iger's tweet announcing the good news, he also revealed that the studio is bringing the film back to theatres to celebrate not only Black History Month but also its $1.5 million donation to UNCF, which is the country's largest minority education organisation, and aims to "make the dream of higher education a reality for more students."

Black Panther was (and still is) a cultural phenomenon, grossing more than $700 million domestically, making it the third film to accomplish that box office feat (it even defeated Titanic's 21-year-old ticket sales record). Naturally, fans are over the moon about its recent Oscar nomination and can celebrate with a few repeat viewings in theatres soon.
