Meet Bohemian Rhapsody's Star-Studded Cast

Bohemian Rhapsody is finally coming together! The Queen biopic just released its official trailer, and it's music magic. The teaser gives fans a small look at what's to come, which is music, the magic behind the tracks you love by Queen, and the real story about frontman Freddie Mercury's life and death.

With the trailer, we also get a look at the cast in the upcoming film, and we're already impressed. In addition to seeing Mr. Robot star Rami Malek rock as a rocker — he's Freddie — we get to see who will be making up the band. While we don't know who some of the actors are playing just yet, aka who Mike Myers will be portraying on screen this Autumn, we do have a glimpse at the stars making up the majority of the cast.

To see which stars are taking on all of the band members of the English rock band, keep reading. Plus, you'll get a look at Freddie's romantic interests as well. Oh, and there's a Downton Abbey star who you definitely won't want to miss.

Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon

Joseph Mazzello will bring to life Queen bassist John Deacon when the movie hits cinemas. You might recognise the actor from his long history of childhood roles like Jurassic Park, Radio Flyer, and Jersey Girl. More recently, he's been in The Social Network and a few episodes of Justified.

Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor

The young British actor will have his hands full with the role of Queen drummer Roger Taylor. Ben Hardy might be newer to the acting world — compared to some of his costars — landing his first gig in 2012, but his role on EastEnders has proven that he can act. The film will mark his third massive movie role thus far; he's also been in X-Men: Apocalypse and Only the Brave.

Lucy Boynton as Mary Austin

Lucy Boynton (Gypsy) will play Mary Austin, Mercury's longtime muse. The frontman wrote numerous songs for Mary, including "Love of My Life." Though they had romantic differences over the years, she stuck by his side when he got sick.

Allen Leech as Paul Prenter

The Downton Abbey alum will be playing a bit of a jerk in Bohemian Rhapsody. His role is Paul Prenter, Freddie's personal manager from 1977 to 1986. He was eventually fired for betraying the singer by selling his personal information to the newspapers . . . yikes!

Aidan Gillen as John Reid

Taking on John Reid, the band's second manager (from 1975 to 1978), is just the next in a long line of killer roles for Aidan Gillen. The Irish actor has starred on Game of Thrones (as Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish), was recently seen in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and starred on The Wire.

Tom Hollander as Jim Beach

The English actor will be playing Queen's third manager, Jim Beach. Jim took over from John Reid in 1978. The actor has many accolades to his name and has been seen in Pride & Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and numerous TV shows since he started acting in 1993.

Aaron McCusker as Jim Hutton

Irish actor Aaron McCusker will play someone close to Mercury's heart in the film — his boyfriend, Jim Hutton. Mercury fooled around on his love Mary with a few men in his day, but Hutton was his actual boyfriend before his death. Aaron, who has been seen on Shameless and The Astronaut Wives Club, will not play a rocker, but he will help fans learn more about Mercury's personal life.
