Bradley Cooper Talks About Oscars Performance 2019

Bradley Cooper Is SO Nervous About His Performance at the Oscars, and It's Pretty Damn Cute

"Pumped" isn't quite the right word to describe how Bradley Cooper is feeling about performing at the Oscars later this month. While attending the Directors Guild Awards on Feb. 1, the A Star Is Born actor opened up about how nervous he is to hit stage with Lady Gaga at the award show on Feb. 24 to perform their film's hit song, "Shallow."

"Yes! It's terrifying. Absolutely," Cooper told Extra on the red carpet. "I was like, 'Why? I must have some sort of death wish!'"

Despite his nerves, this isn't Cooper's first rodeo. He recently made a surprise appearance at Gaga's Enigma residency in Las Vegas, where they performed the Oscar-nominated song for an awestruck crowd. But even after leaving us all in a puddle of our own tears that night, Cooper revealed that performance was also pretty nerve-wracking. "I just had to zen out and just pray that I wasn't gonna ruin her show. She just crushed it for two hours," he told E!. "I thought, 'Please let me just be on pitch.'"

Regardless of his nerves, Cooper still managed hold his own during his surprise duet with Gaga, so their Oscars performance will probably be a piece of cake.
