Brassic TV Show Trailer

Michelle Keegan and Joe Gilgun's Gritty New Sky One Show Is About to Steal Your Heart

Looking for a show to fill the gap left by the likes of Shameless and This is England? Sky One's latest original series Brassic could be just what you're looking for. The brainchild of actor Joe Gilgun and BAFTA-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst, the show is described as an "edgy comedy" about a group of friends in a northern town who employ some slightly unconventional methods to make ends meet (let's be honest, they're burglars). Gilgun is joined by Our Girl's Michelle Keegan and Ripper Street star Damien Molony in the show.

As well as the trailer, we also have a character list that reads like something out of your brother's group WhatsApp chat: Cardi (Tom Hanson), champion kebab eater and total liability; Ash (Aaron Heffernan), the son of a family of fighting Travellers whose fists can get them out of most kinds of trouble; Tommo (Ryan Sampson), the most sexually liberated man in Britain who doesn't care what people think; and JJ (Parth Thakerar), a sharp entrepreneur who runs a garage (with a lucrative sideline in stolen cars). Now if that's not enough to make you want to tune in, I don't know what is. Brassic comes to Sky One and Now TV on Aug. 22.
