Carrie Fisher Slapping Oscar Isaac in The Last Jedi Video

This Video of Carrie Fisher Slapping Oscar Isaac 41 Times Is the Internet's Greatest Gift

There's a scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi that just rocketed to the top of my "This Is, Hands Down, The Best Scene in The Last Jedi, Please Do Not @ Me" list. No, it's not Admiral Holdo saying "pew pew" every time she shoots a gun, or Luke's ultimate sacrifice, or even that thigh touch (OK, maybe it's still the thigh touch) (I'M ONLY HUMAN). Instead, the new reigning champion is actually this clip from the movie's gag reel, which features General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) giving Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) a powerful slap . . . 41 powerful slaps, to be specific.

Entertainment Tonight shared the hilarious clip on Tuesday, and it's truly something to behold. Shortly after the movie was done filming, Isaac explained what went on behind the scenes to Vanity Fair, saying, "We did this scene where Carrie has to slap me. I think we did 27 takes in all, and Carrie leaned into it every time, man. She loved hitting me. [Director] Rian Johnson found such a wonderful way of working with her, and I think she really relished it." If you count every slap in the video, it comes out to a whopping 41, so we can only assume Fisher slapped Isaac so hard he eventually lost count. What makes it even better? It was his first day on set, according to Johnson.
