Meet the Dream Cast of Hulu's Catch-22 Adaptation
Hulu is no stranger to adapting literature — The Handmaid's Tale's grisly dystopian story has become a widely acclaimed show since it debuted in 2017. Now, the streaming service will take on another timeless work that's become embedded in high school curricula and the American lexicon: Joseph Heller's Catch-22. The novel is about a US Air Force captain named John Yossarian who's stationed in Italy during World War II. The title of the book refers to a military rule in the story in which if a person is insane, they do not have to fly missions — but they have to apply to get excused, and applying means that you're not insane and still able to fly a plane. Try wrapping that around your head!
The beloved classic has caught the attention of major names in the entertainment industry, much like how TV dramas Sharp Objects and Big Little Lies have recently poached prestige actors.
