Magic Mike fans, you may want to sit down for this one. Channing Tatum [1] has confirmed that he's "promised" the cast of Magic Mike Live that he will "strap on the old thong again" and make an appearance during one of the live shows . . . just as soon as he's "back in shape." The actor spoke to ET about the possibility of stripping in the stage show [2], which he created following the success of his movies Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL (which, in turn, were partly inspired by his experiences working as a stripper in Tampa, FL at the beginning of his career).

Magic Mike Live premiered in Las Vegas [3] in 2016, and recently celebrated its launch in London [4], too. Describing itself as "empowering and exhilarating", it aims to breathe new life into the traditional male revue, with dance, acrobatics, and one-of-a-kind acts inspired by the movies. Tatum both conceived and directed the show, but as yet he's not appeared in it. It sounds like all that is about to change, though.

As for when we can expect this monumental moment, it could well be coming next year, so perhaps it's time to consider booking tickets? "I gotta do it soon because this old body is not gonna do what it used to do anymore," Tatum joked.
