The 38-year-old singer announced the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show [2] on Jan. 29, explaining that "it's been in talks for quite a few years now."
Titled "Christina Aguilera: The Xperience," the show will take place at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theatre and span 16 dates between May 31 to June 16 and Sept. 20 to Oct. 5. While sharing the details on Instagram [3], the Grammy-winning superstar described it as "a multisensory escape to a world of magic & total freedom." Umm, we're booking flights, like, yesterday.
Tickets for the residency go on sale for the general public this Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. PT on christinaaguilera.com [4], but Ellen fans can use the code "XELLEN" to access an exclusive presale starting Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. PT [5].
