Clay's Speech at Hannah's Funeral on 13 Reasons Why Season 2

Relive Clay's Gut-Wrenching Speech at Hannah's Funeral From 13 Reasons Why Season 2

Warning: spoilers for 13 Reasons Why season two below.

13 Reasons Why season two is full of emotional moments, but one of the most moving scenes has to be Hannah's memorial service. Not only is it a beautiful moment between the Liberty High classmates as they come together after a tragedy, but it also closes the book on Clay and Hannah's star-crossed love story, once and for all. After struggling with Hannah's death all season long, Clay finally finds the strength to let his former love go when he gets up to make a speech at her service.

Even though he admits he's still angry and confused about her death, he knows that one day those feelings will fade until he's left with only love. As he envisions Hannah sitting in the church, he looks her in the eyes and quotes back Skye's very words to him: "I can love you and I can let you go." Not only is it incredibly bittersweet, but it also shows the heartbreaking reality of grieving the loss of someone who died from suicide. Grab some tissues and relive his gut-wrenching speech above.
