John Cho, one of my own personal favourite people to thirst over [1], is heading to the small screen in Netflix's live-action, 10-episode adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. The Hollywood Reporter revealed [2] that Cho is joining the cast as a character named Spike Spiegel, who Netflix describes as:
"An impossibly cool 'cowboy' (bounty hunter) with a deadly smile, a wry wit and style to spare. He travels the solar system with his ex-cop partner, Jet, pursuing the future's most dangerous bounties with a combination of charm, charisma — and deadly Jeet Kune Do."
If you haven't read the anime that inspires the series, Cowboy Bebop is the "genre-bending story of a ragtag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system's most dangerous criminals." They zoom around the galaxy in their spaceship, Bebob, and Cho isn't the only one who's joined the crew.
Luke Cage actor Mustafa Shakir is on board as Spike's partner, Jet, as well as a number of other exciting names. Check out who else has signed on to the series, ahead!

Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black
The Luke Cage alum will bring the character of Jet to life. Netflix describes Jet as "one of the few honest cops in the solar system before an ultimate betrayal robbed him of all that he loved, forcing him into a vagabond life of hunting bounties to put food on the table. Jet is an inveterate jazz enthusiast and captain of the Bebop."
Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine
Mercy Black and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star Daniella Pineda is playing Faye Valentine, a thief and con artist who's lost her memory in a bout of amnesia.
Alex Hassell as Vicious
The British star has appeared in everything from Grantchester to Genius, and will bring his talents to Cowboy Bebop as Spike's ex-partner who now seeks revenge against him. His character's name is "Vicious," so we can only imagine how ruthless he'll be in trying to track Spike down.
