Prepare Yourself: The Curse of La Llorona Trailer Is 2 Minutes of Pure Fear

Are you ready for an entirely new monster to take over your nightmares? Because the trailer for The Curse of La Llorona is here to do just that. The upcoming horror film, which comes courtesy of The Conjuring's James Wan, centres on a social worker (Linda Cardellini) and her two young children, who find themselves drawn into a supernatural fight for their lives when it turns out a horrifying apparition called "La Llorona" (or, The Weeping Woman) is very much real.

The movie takes place in LA in the '70s, and the two-minute trailer is already more than enough to send our blood pressure into overdrive (that car scene!). Watch it above — if you dare — before it hits theatres on April 19.
