19/03/2018 - 02:45 PM

Carpool Karaoke is usually about seeing the fun side of celebrities [1], but a special version filmed by a group of moms and their kids for World Down Syndrome Day turned James Corden's famous skit into something far more important. Corden tweeted, "This is the most beautiful Carpool Karaoke. It made me cry," and we couldn't agree more.

Titled "50 Mums, 50 Kids, 1 Extra Chromosome," the video features children with Down syndrome and their parents, singing along to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" using Makaton, a series of signs and symbols used alongside speech to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties. All the moms featured belong to a group called Designer Genes, which was created for parents who have a child with Down syndrome born in 2013 or 2014. It's a truly heartwarming video that shares an important message about these very special children.

The video's already had over half a million views, and we have a feeling that's just the beginning.
