AGT: Jay Leno Slams the Golden Buzzer For an "Extremely Special" 10-Year-Old Opera Prodigy

09/08/2019 - 05:20 PM

Emanne Beasha was awarded the Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent [1] on Tuesday night's episode [2], and almost a full 24 hours later, we're still shaking from how incredible her performance was. The 10-year-old opera prodigy hit the stage for the second time in the competition to sing "Caruso," which had just about everyone in the audience dropping their jaws. Unsurprisingly, the judges were among them.

"We are seeing acts come out here, and they're sweating and they're not performing to par, they're not stepping it up. And they're double your age! Then you come out here and show them how it's done," judge Howie Mandel said, before Simon Cowell [3] jumped in to call Emanne's talent "genuinely [a] gift."

The best praise the young singer received, however, had to be from guest judge Jay Leno [4], who was the one to slam the Golden Buzzer and send her through to the next round. "Just the fact that from a child comes an honesty and a truth . . . I feel like I'm a witness to something extremely special," he told her. "At some point in my career people will say, 'What do you remember most?' And I'll say, 'I remember giving the Golden Buzzer.'"

So sweet! Watch her performance above, then keep scrolling to see photos from her performance.
