The Fantastic Beasts Sequel Ends With a Big Twist, but Does It Have a Postcredits Scene?

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has hit theatres, and with it comes a whole lot of questions. For instance, what the hell is up with all those crisscrossing, nonsensical timelines? How was that McGonagall cameo possible? And how in the hell is that twist with Credence going to work out? All the nostalgic Harry Potter Easter eggs in the world can't make up for the wild, out-of-left-field plot choices the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them makes scene after scene. But there's one thing we can do: confirm whether or not there's an end credits scene.

Since the prequel series is going to be five movies total, that means plenty of crazy storylines about Newt, Hot Young Dumbledore, Grindelwald, Tina, and the rest of the characters await us in the years to come. That's why we would've totally expected a brief scene post-credits hinting at what we might expect from our favourite magizoologist. Alas, there is NO mid-credits or end-credits scene in the sequel.

The lack of a stinger shouldn't come as a surprise, since none of the eight films in the Harry Potter franchise had one, either (and neither does the first Fantastic Beasts film, for that matter). Instead you'll be treated to the film's epic score playing out as you mull over the game-changing curveball about Credence Barebone, and nothing else. So, if you have plans to see the movie over Thanksgiving break, save yourself 15 minutes and feel free to hit up the bathroom as soon as the credits start to roll!
