GLOW Recap: Every Moment From Season 3 That We're Still Wrestling With

After witnessing Bobby the drag queen perform, Sheila (Gayle Rankin) begins to see herself out of her fur tube top and wolf-shaped wig. And so, she breaks free from She Wolf (unlike Tammé, who unfortunately breaks her literal back). Her time comes when there's a show where everybody switches characters, so Sheila dolls up as Liza Minnelli, taking her troupe by surprise.

During the ladies' hiking trip, she burns her wig and costume, donning her short blonde hair after an enlightening encounter with a white wolf. Her physical change brings out her confidence as an actress and her natural instinct takes Ruth by surprise.

Sam (Marc Maron) and Ruth's (Alison Brie) relationship ratchets in season three after Sam confesses that he loves her in Vegas. When Ruth is ready to reciprocate her feelings, he's gone, off to help Justine (Britt Baron) with her screenplay, They reconcile when Ruth auditions for Justine's movie. After the tryout, they kiss at a bar and Ruth tells him that she loves him. As they're about to hook up, Sam reveals that she didn't get the part, which causes her to storm off.

And of course, we have to talk about the elephant in the room: Sam's declining health. After Justine's script gets picked up, Sam gets a heart attack and doesn't tell anyone. In the end, he adopts Justine so that she can inherit his money if anything happens to him. Cue the tears, please.

Hosted by Bobby, the underground AIDS fundraiser gets a successful turnout. Sheila shines in a breakthrough acting moment and Bobby and Sandy take a gloriously scandalous act onto the stage. In the middle of the latter performance, however, there's a fire. Everyone realises that it's a hate crime when they discover anti-gay slurs written on the ground.

This incident exacerbates anxieties that Arthie (Sunita Mani) has about her sexuality, but the GLOW ladies later bring an outpouring of support when she comes out in the Christmas episode. While she's out and proud, Arthis still has a hot and cold relationship with Yolanda (Shakira Barrera).

Who doesn't love a Christmas episode? The last installation of season three is a holly jolly one, even in its most bittersweet parts. While spirits are low after the underground fundraiser, Carmen (Britney Young) cranks up the Christmas spirit with an idea for a holiday show loosely based on A Christmas Carol.

After seeing what having a kid did to Denise the dance teacher, Cherry (Sydelle Noel) has second thoughts about trying for a baby with her husband Keith. Though Keith leaves after Cherry expresses her feelings, he comes back later as Santa for the Christmas show with a little coaxing from Carmen, Cherry's secret Santa.

Later, Keith tells Cherry that he's been looking into a potential adoption so that she could still keep working while they raise a child together.

GLOW goes through an identity crisis since the ladies hit harder on the showbiz side of things in Vegas, and it becomes less about wrestling or acting. Carmen, arguably the only wrestler in the group, picks up on this. After getting to fight Ruth during the Christmas show as a present, she tells Debbie that she's quitting GLOW to travel and wrestle with her brothers.

OK, Bash goes through a lot this season, and we get perfect uneasy eye gazes from Chris Lowell. First, his mother Birdie swings by for a visit. It's a stressful ordeal, but she doesn't dislike Rhonda (Kate Nash) after all and lets Bash know that he now has even more money.

Oh, and he and Rhonda finally consummate their marriage, but the romance tapers off as Bash gets busy with producing. When Rhonda recruits Paul the gigolo to make her husband jealous, everyone ends up in a steamy threesome, which leads Bash to tailspin and grow even more uncomfortable with his sexuality because he enjoyed the encounter. Debbie catches the producer at a vulnerable moment and convinces him to buy a TV network (which she swooped from her boyfriend Tex the rancher). Bash reconciles with Rhonda and drops a bombshell: he wants them to go back to LA and start a family.
