Hold the Door! Game of Thrones Just Dropped the Season 8 Trailer, and Twitter Is Losing It
Winter is here, and we're suddenly not feeling as ready as we thought we'd be. Ahead of the season eight premiere on April 14, HBO finally (!!!) released the trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones. While the sneak peek into what to expect had been long-awaited (after an almost two-year break!), it quickly became a major source of stress for fans of the show on Twitter.
In true fashion, the trailer kicks off with Arya running bruised and bloody through Winterfell — so apparently this season isn't going to have any sort of chill factor. Aside from everyone's favourite teenage assassin already appearing in danger, the heavy foreshadowing is bringing out all the reaction GIFs, and it looks like no one is okay.
Jon Snow and Daenerys, meanwhile, are already blowing minds and raising dragon-related theories, and it looks like Tyrion might be caught in the literal crossfire once the final battle begins. From Cersei's unsettling smile to Gendry's return and Missandei and Greyworm's steamy kiss, we can expect all of the dark, forbidden romance and sneaky battle tactics from the previous seasons — plus a whole lot more.
