The 15th season premiere has come and gone on Grey's Anatomy, and I have to say, it was a pretty delightful first episode. As promised, all the doctors are leaning hard into the season's "love" theme; people are pairing off left and right. There are crushes, there are hot makeout sessions, there are sex dreams. Oh, and there's a new gay romance that's so adorable, I can hardly contain my big ol' gay grin. No, seriously, I'm smiling like a big dork while I type this. I look like Tyra Banks typing nonsense in Lifesize.
That's right, the new gay male surgeon, Dr. Nico Kim, has arrived, and he has his sights set on Grey Sloan's clumsiest intern: Levi "Glasses" Schmitt. The premiere sets up such a cute dynamic between the two. I mean, it's hard not to love the bumbling nature of Schmitt, who consistently drops things, passes out, and trips over his own feet. Combine that with the cool, handsome confidence of Dr. Kim, and it really is a golden meet-cute. I can't wait to see how their little love connection blooms as the season moves forward.
