Guillermo del Toro and George R.R. Martin appear to be good pals — who knew? Not only that, but the two talents recently played up their likeness when the Shape of Water director slipped on the Game of Thrones creator's signature cap. Del Toro then turned to Twitter and, "Who wore it better?"

Following this heartwarming hang, we have so many questions: how did these two even become friends? What were they up to? Is some sort of a collaboration in the works? When is the next A Song of Ice and Fire book coming out?! While del Toro unfortunately didn't divulge any information pertaining to those questions, he did let his followers know that Martin kept the hat. So, that's one less mystery.
