Hold Up — Gwendoline Christie Predicted the Game of Thrones Finale 2 Years Ago!

Spoiler alert! We're talking about the series finale of Game of Thrones below.

Are we sure Gwendoline Christie isn't the Three-Eyed Raven? Because she basically foresaw how Game of Thrones [1] would end long before the series finale [2] had even been written. In a recently resurfaced 2017 Extra interview with Christie and her costar Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actress accurately predicted that Bran Stark would go on to rule Westeros [3]. The funniest part? Coster-Waldau said it'd never happen.

"Don't you think it's going to be someone out of left field?"

In response to Coster-Waldau's prediction that Daenerys Targaryen or the Night King would take the Iron Throne, Christie said, "Don't you think it's going to be someone out of left field? Don't you feel that those seem like the obvious choice? And what we know about the show is that it constantly surprises you." She added, "I'm wondering if it might be Bran. Just because we keep seeing the world from his perspective. We keep seeing the visions." Coster-Waldau replied, "The Three-Eyed Raven as the king? No, it doesn't make sense." (You're telling us [4]!)

Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who portrays Bran, was just as surprised by the unexpected plot point [5]. After reading in the script that Tyrion Lannister suggests Bran to be king [6], Hempstead-Wright actually thought he was being pranked. He told Entertainment Weekly that he thought showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss has given everyone a fake script with their own character ending up on the Iron Throne. Shocking as it was, nothing gets past Brienne of Tarth.
